    Ekon av ett rum Echoes of a Room

    A closed room, a door, a doorframe, from inside the room comes the sound of someone writing. Installation view: Solo exhibition at Stadsbiblioteket in Malmö


                                         
     “The door to one of the rooms cannot be opened. From inside the room you can hear the sound of someone writing. This sound of intense writing slowly subsides. Suddenly there is a pause. The outside of one room is often the inside of another room, but this room does not function as an inside for any other room.

    The sound of writing returns.”
     



    Echoes of a Room is a continuation of the work 263 pages. The room is a closed stage that the viewer moves around. 
    From inside the room, the sound of someone writing can be heard. Within the work, the room enters into dialogue with the library’s architecture, 
    where the exterior of the library meets the sealed stage. The library’s visitors create a choreography around the room. 
    Someone tries to open the door but fails; another passes by quickly, while a third sits sunk into a book.
